A Whitsundays man alleged to have been involved in supplying drugs on more than 170 occasions has fronted court, facing serious charges including trafficking.

A Whitsundays man alleged to have been involved in supplying drugs on more than 170 occasions has fronted court, facing serious charges including trafficking.

The alleged offences including 171 counts of supplying drugs and one count of drug trafficking are said to have occurred throughout 2024 and into 2025.

James William Bollen appeared in Bowen Magistrates Court on Tuesday where it was heard a full brief had been collected from prosecution.

His lawyer, Nick Douglas from Legal Aid Queensland, said he would be lodging registry committal documents for the more serious alleged offences to go to the higher courts.

The summary matters including contravening the direction of a police officer, drug driving, and driving while disqualified are set to be finalised on the next occasion.

The matter was adjourned to August 26.
