Police investigating the violent assault of a staff member at a popular 24-hour shopping centre are chasing information on a man who may be able to help.

Mackay police are investigating the violent assault of a staff member at a popular 24-hour shopping centre on the city fringe.
Now they are chasing information on a man who may be able to help.
The incident reportedly occurred at 6.58pm on Friday, May 20, at Peries IGA on Bridge Road, West Mackay.
A person approached a staff member within the store.
Following a short conversation, the person punched the staff member three times causing the employee to fall to the ground.
Others standing nearby restrained the attacker and he was removed from the store.
Police have recently obtained CCTV footage of the incident and are calling for information on the man pictured who they believe may be able to help with inquiries.
Anyone who can help is urged to call police as soon as possible as it is believed he may be able to assist police with the investigation.
