Justin James Faass, 53, is charged with a contravention of domestic violence order, assaults occasioning bodily harm, stalking and eight breaches of bail.

Mr Faass faced Proserpine Magistrates Court on Monday.

McKays Solicitors’ Marcus Hahn told the court there were some “outstanding matters” Mr Faass needed to resolve with the previous solicitors who worked on the case.

He also told the court he was not in possession of any of the material or evidence in relation to the matters.

Magistrate Michelle Howard told Mr Hahn the matter has been moved “very slowly”, with Mr Faass having changed lawyers “several” times in the past few months.

“I do expect this to move forward more quickly,” Ms Howard said.

“I’m disappointed here that, once again, we are not in a position for anything really to happen today.”

Ms Howard urged Mr Hahn to be in a position to move the case forward

The case will be next mentioned on December 18 and Mr Faass’ bail was extended until then.
