A woman accused of assaulting an elderly person, late night break-ins and extortion will have her matters heard in a higher court.
Amanda Maree Fenn pleaded guilty in Proserpine Magistrates Court to breaching her bail, with the court hearing charges of extortion, entering a dwelling at night with intent, and two counts of seriously assaulting a person over 60 will proceed to the higher courts via a registry committal.
The 30-year-old failed to report to the police station on 31 January, resulting in a breach of her bail conditions the court heard.
Lawyer Adriane Hillier from AW Bale and Son Solicitors appeared via phone on behalf of Ms Fenn, telling the court her client’s offending was at the lower end of the scale for a breach and she had no history of this type of offending.
Magistrate Anna Smith said while Ms Fenn did not have a history of breaching bail she certainly had a history.
Ms Fenn was fined $200 and convictions were not recorded.
Her other matters were adjourned to 18 August but Ms Smith said it was hoped those matters would fall out of the magistrates court list.
