A Queensland man has been arrested after allegedly knowingly spreading ‘serious disease’ to multiple women he met on social media.
Zak Jordan Winsley has was arrested in Sarina Tuesday and appeared in Mackay Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon when he was remanded in custody.
It is alleged he is having sexual relationships with numerous young women he met via online dating applications from Airlie Beach to the Sunshine Coast.
It is further alleged he has not disclosed to these woman that he has a sexually transmitted infection.
Detectives from Sarina Criminal Investigation Branch have charged the 24-year-old Campwin beach man with multiple offences following investigations in the Mackay area.
It will be alleged between November 2022, and July 2023, the accused had intimate relationships with multiple women, after meeting them online.
Police will allege he knowingly transmitted a serious disease to women on two occasions.
He has been charged with two counts of acts intended to cause GBH or transmit serious disease and two counts of distributing intimate images.
Police are calling for anyone with information or who has had similar experiences to come forward.
