Residents of a Blacks Beach home were shocked when a car came ploughing into their bedroom.
A police spokesman said crews were called about 11pm Wednesday night after a car had driven into the Whitehaven Drive home.
He said there was structural damage to the front of the building where the main bedroom was situated.
The spokesman said there were occupants at the home but none had sustained any injuries from the incident.
He said the 35-year-old Blacks Beach driver was taken to Mackay Base Hospital.
Reports indicate he suffered hip and leg pain but was in a stable condition.
The spokesman said police were investigating but no charges had been laid.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the car had been towed from the home and the residents had been told to steer clear of the damaged area.
The drama comes after the stabbing of a young woman on Blacks Beach earlier this week.
