Defence barrister Scott McLennan told Mackay Supreme Court on Monday a Legal Aid Queensland funding grant had been approved for his client’s bail application.

He said he intended on making a bail application, adding the material had been drafted and he intended to “settle on that urgently”.

Mr Bradshaw has been in custody since his arrest in August 2020.

Mr McLennan also told the court “an extraordinary grant from Legal Aid” regarding preparation for the matter included enlisting “an expert”.
