A motorbike rider was reportedly motionless after a heavy collision with a car.
It is believed the crash on Greenfields Boulevard, Mount Pleasant, left the rider in the middle of the road for several minutes unmoving.
Police and fire services, as well as paramedics, attended the crash about 11am.
The crash also left an elderly passenger of the car shaken, with paramedics also assessing his condition.
He was not taken to hospital for further assessment.
Other passengers in the car included a woman and a young man, who were also assessed but not taken to hospital.
The rider was taken to Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition.
He had a suspected lower leg injury.
