A suspected gas leak in Moranbah led to a building being evacuated and customers flowing out into the town square.

Emergency services reportedly responded to Bi-Rite Home Appliances store on 65 Town Square Ave at 10.53am and Queensland Fire and Emergency Personnel entered the building shortly after 11am.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said that the leak could have been “isolated to bottles of gases within the shop”.

QFES were unable to independently confirm that detail.

QAS assessed building occupants for injuries.

Fireys are currently assessing the situation and determining the source of the reported gas leak.

More to come.
