A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital in a stable condition after his quad bike rolled on New Year’s Eve.

It will be a New Year’s celebration to forget for one man who was taken to hospital after a quad bike rollover.

The 30 year old’s bike crashed and rolled on a private property in Bowen at 9.26pm.

Paramedics attended the property, and he was taken to Bowen Hospital in a stable condition following the crash.

The New Year’s Eve crash follows a number of quad bike incidents in 2021, including two in 24 hours in September.

A woman suffered rib injuries after falling from a quad bike less than 24 hours after a man was crushed by a quad on a rural property west of Mackay.

RACQ CQ Rescue flew the woman in her 30s from St Lawrence to Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition on September 14.

The man, who was injured the day before, suffered serious injuries including a crushed pelvis when he was trapped under the heavy vehicle.

It is understood his quad bike had been travelling about 50km/h when it hit a wheel rut and flipped.
