Northern Beaches resident spots possible UFO on Sunday morning walk

Is it a bird, is it a plane? John from Northern Beaches does not know but it is not something he’s seen before. Look at the photo here.

Unusual flash, flying object captured in Geelong

It was another Sunday morning walk for a Northern Beaches resident, who likes to beat the sun up and start his day right.

But John’s stroll was more eventful than usual after he spotted a peculiar shape in the sky.

John, who did not want to give his surname, said he was quick to pull out his phone for a photo.

“I don’t usually bring my phone on my walks with me,” he said.

“When I saw the thing in the sky I pulled my phone out, dropped it, picked it back up and grabbed a photo.

“It was only about 2000 feet in the air, it wasn’t moving fast either.”

The oblong-shaped craft was “about as long as a plane”, but with no wings, and lights could be seen in the cabin through the window.

John said he believed in extraterrestrial lifeforms, but he was sure there would be an explanation to the picture.

“I believe they’re around, don’t get me wrong,” he said.

“There’s heaps of sightings everywhere, all over the world, there has to be something.

“I don’t know if it was one of them, or if was man-made, I wouldn’t have a clue, I’m just hoping someone else has seen it and got a photo of it too.”

John said the “flying tube” was travelling north from the airport direction, before changing course and disappearing over the waters of Blacks Beach.

“It did come from the airport way, which makes me think it might be some kind of plane,” he said.

“But the path it took is not a flight path that I’ve ever seen.

“It made no noise, it looked like no plane I’ve seen and was travelling really slowly.”
