A man who threatened chemist staff, waving a compound bow inside the store after a woman was caught stealing, was tackled in a citizen’s arrest before police arrived.

UPDATE MONDAY 9AM: A man allegedly aimed a compound bow into a busy shopping centre in Cannonvale after the woman he was with was caught stealing perfume.
A police spokesman said the pair was arrested at Cannonvale Centro Shopping Centre about 3pm Sunday after police had been called to a disturbance.
He said the 25-year-old woman entered the chemist inside the Galbraith Drive complex about 3pm, allegedly stealing a number of perfumes.
After being caught, the woman left the business walking towards the car park where a 34-year-old man was waiting in a Hyundai Elantra sedan.
The spokesman said the man and woman re-entered the centre, with the man allegedly making verbal threats to an employee before allegedly picking up a “compound bow” and aiming it towards a number of people.
He said nearby shoppers pounced on the man, holding him to the ground until police arrived.
No one was injured.
The man has been charged with armed robbery and was refused bail.
He is expected to appear in Proserpine Magistrates Court today.
The woman has been charged with armed robbery and driving without a licence.
She is expected to appear in Proserpine Magistrates Court on August 16.
INITIAL SUNDAY 5PM: Two people have been taken into custody after a disturbance at a Cannonvale shopping centre.
A police spokesman said crews were called to the Centro Shopping Centre in Cannonvale about 4pm.
He said police were responding to reports of an altercation between a group of people and security.
Two individuals have been arrested following the disturbance.
