Popular Vietnamese coffee franchise ANNEES is opening a brand-new store in Mackay.
The move into Canelands Central follows the success of the other Mackay store in Mount Pleasant Shopping Centre.
ANNEES Marketing and Retail Operations Manager, Mollie Normington, said the business was thrilled to be opening at another Mackay spot.
“It’s our ninth location, and a wonderful milestone for ANNEES as we continue to grow and share our passion for exceptional coffee and meaningful experiences with even more communities,” she said.
“Mackay is such a vibrant, welcoming place, and we are happy to be a part of the local scene.
“Mackay is a dynamic and growing community, it’s also a hub for locals and visitors alike, so we saw an opportunity to bring our unique offering to an area where people value quality and great experiences.
“We have a team of seven and will continue to hire talent in the community who thrive on providing an exceptional guest experience.”
Mollie said ANNEES was more than just a place to grab coffee; it was a place to connect and feel part of something special.
“We take pride in delivering not just a fantastic, iced coffee but also an experience that uplifts your day,” she said.
“Whether you’re meeting friends, grabbing a quick pick-me-up, post gym refresher, ANNEES is the place to be.”
ANNEES started from humble beginnings, a tiny $20 stall at Rusty’s Market in Cairns run by owner and founder Annee Nguyen.
When Annee arrived in Australia she immediately noticed not only the robust coffee culture but also the lack of Vietnamese coffee, so she decided to offer the exciting and delicious flavours to Cairns.
When she brought the unique style of coffee to the markets, Annee was met with curiosity and scepticism, but slowly she won over the hearts of Queensland coffee lovers.
As ANNEES expanded she soon realised people were coming to the store, not only for the coffee, but for the human connection that came with it.
And so, her mission was born; to create a piece of happiness that went beyond a cup of coffee.
That mission continues today and there are big plans for the future, Mollie said.
“Our focus is on continuing to grow thoughtfully, refining the experience and bringing ANNEES to more communities across Australia and beyond, while staying true to our purpose of providing a piece of happiness.”
The grand opening of the Canelands location on December 20 will include ANNEES goodie bags for the first 100 guests and free coffee from 8am to 11am.
“It’s the perfect opportunity to try ANNEES for the first time and meet your local A-team,” said Mollie.
