Ever wanted to own a barbershop in Walkerston? Now’s your chance.
Barber Jo’s is up for grabs after its owners revealed their intention to sell to an interested party.
“Sadly the time has come for us to put the shop on the market,” Louise and Katrina said in a Facebook post.
“Please spread the word.”
Established 20 years ago by Walkerston local Jo Shanks, the shop was intended to be a “safe space” for any clients if they needed to talk.
This was particularly important to Ms Shanks who ran a suicide and depression charity, Run for MI Life.
Ms Shanks’ stewardship led to the cultivation of a “loyal” and “booming” client base, which was passed on to Louise and Katrina when they took over management in 2021.
Included in the sale are three cutting stations “with enough clientele for a fourth chair”.
“This barbershop is non-stop and fast paced,” Louise and Katrina said.
Interested parties should reach out to the owners at barberjos@outlook.com.au.
