Tickets are on sale for the Whitsundays biggest musical festival, with organisers promising an epic line-up for 2024.
The Airlie Beach Festival of Music is returning for its 12th annual celebration, with three days of music and entertainment from November 8th to 10th and unbelievable acts including Aussie rock legends Rose Tattoo.
Led by iconic frontman Angry Anderson, Rose Tattoo are looking to perform signature songs such as “Bad Boy for Love” and “We Can’t Be Beaten” with the energy that made them world famous.
“What do the words Airlie Beach festival say to you?..to me they say fun, fun, fun in the sun!” Mr Anderson said.
“.. Party in Paradise, a week of revelry and fabbo stuff to do and see!..The Tatts are playing, see ya there. or be square!”
Along with Rose Tattoo the line will include, Southern Sons, Reece Mastin and Sandi Thom as well as Sweet (UK), Pseudo Echo, Jebediah, Thirsty Merc, Christine Anu, Ash Grunwald, 19 Twenty, and Bondi Cigars.
In 2023 the festival attracted 3,500 visitors to the Whitsundays adding an additional $3.8m in revenue to Airlie Beach.
With a big top tent, pitched at the Whitsundays Sailing Club, serving as the main stage the festival will spread out across Airlie Beach with beach and street performances as well as events at over 12 different venues.
Festival general manager Margie Murphy expects the festival to buck the trend of declining attendance at music festivals due to how quickly tickets are selling.
“We look forward to welcoming our festival fans this November, from those that have been every year to those experiencing this magic event for the first time,” Ms Murphy said.
Tickets to the three day festival start at $320 and include access to all acts at all venues from the festivals beginning until the after-party on November 11.
Limited VIP tickets are also on sale starting at $1,050 and include exclusive access to artist meet-and-greets, premium viewing areas, a six hour food and drinks package, and more.
One day passes will be available closer to the event and complimentary buses will be available to all festival goers.
