Woman in serious condition, road closed after crash at Grandchester, Ipswich

A woman in her 30s has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition after a crash at Ipswich on Monday afternoon.

A woman in her 30s has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition following a two-vehicle crash at Ipswich this afternoon.

Police and paramedics, including critical care, were called to the scene of the collision on Rosewood Laidley and Tommary roads in Grandchester about 3.30pm.

An ambulance spokeswoman said a woman in her 30s was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition with pelvic injuries.

Three other patients were assessed but suffered no injuries as a result of the crash and did not require transport to hospital.

A police spokesman said the crash caused “substantial damage” to the vehicles involved.

The forensic crash unit has been tasked to the scene and Rosewood Laidley Road will likely be closed for some time.
