Dust cloud fears over New Chum site

I did not see any dust control measures being practised at Cleanaway's New Chum site

THIS week, I again visited the site at Cleanaway's New Chum site and saw serious dust clouds being generated on site.

I observed no water trucks in operation around the tipping areas.

In the case of the tip face where trucks dump loads and the tipping face where graders and compactors work, I did not see any dust control measures being practised.

Despite complaints, it appears to me that no improvements in control measures have been implemented.

For Ipswich councillors, the Ipswich City Council cannot keep on pointing the finger at the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection when it is the Ipswich City Council that approves these operations.
