Doughnut empire Krispy Kreme is giving away thousands of free original glazed rings across the state for doughnut day today.
The company will give away 100,000 free original glazed doughnuts for one day only on June 2 — enough doughnuts to cover the length of eight Sydney Harbour Bridges.
Krispy Kreme stores across the state preparing for this day include:
- Redbank Plains
- Albert Street
- Shell Nudgee
- Brisbane Jetstar Domestic Terminal
- Acacia Ridge
- Surfers Paradise
- Pacific Fair
- Gold Coast Airport
Data from last year’s event found the busiest stores during national doughnut day were Albert Street, Redbank Plains and Acacia Ridge.
Aimee Cutjar, Head of Marketing at Krispy Kreme ANZ called on customers to drop in.
“National Doughnut Day is our most popular event of the year,” said Cutjar.
“Our much loved Original Glazed Doughnuts are made fresh daily, and all our retail staff are rolling up their sleeves in preparation for a busy day ahead.
“We love to share joy with our fans and thank them for their support. Nothing says National Doughnut Day like a Free Krispy Kreme Original Glazed.”
