Woman taken to Gympie Hospital after falling off horse in Imbil
A woman has been rushed to hospital after falling from a horse during an early morning ride.

A woman has been injured after she fell from her horse during an early-morning ride in the Gympie region.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were called to Diggings Rd near the Imbil Showground, in Imbil, about 2am today, April 21.
A horse riding endurance event, the Far-A-Way Easter Endurance Carnival, is being held in the Imbil region during the Easter long weekend.
The paramedic spokeswoman said the woman, in her 30s, was about 4km along a course when the incident occurred.
She said the woman was taken in a stable condition to the Gympie Hospital with head and back injuries.
The paramedic spokeswoman said the woman was wearing a helmet when the fall occurred.
Carnival ride director Mark Grogan said the Far-A-Way club’s safety policies “kicked in” as soon as the incident occurred.
“QAS was excellent,” he said.
The ride director said about 200 riders had participated in the carnival across the weekend.
