A woman in her 20s was airlifted in a stable condition from near Gympie to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital on Thursday afternoon after an attempted dirt bike jump went badly wrong.
Paramedics were called to the Glen Echo Dirt Bike and Camping Park, about 40km northwest of Gympie. about 1.30pm.
The Bundaberg-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew airlifted the woman after the LifeFlight critical care doctor and flight paramedic worked with local Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics to treat her on scene for multiple injuries.
The pilot landed the aircraft close to the scene.
