A massive warehouse complex housing 14 tenants and built on a $825,000 piece of land will add to a growing list of industrial developments in a busy Gympie suburb.

Gympie city’s southern industrial precinct continues to be the centre of interest with new plans lodged to build a 14-tenant warehouse complex.
Valley View Developments wants to open the new complex at Buckley Drive on the Monkland, about 200m west of Gympie Mazda, and about 3km from the southern entrance to the Gympie Bypass.
The company’s proposal is to build two 8m high industrial buildings on the block.
A total of 14 tenancies would be created by the development, with nine housed in the building at the front of the block and five located in the other.
Sixty-five parking spots will be included with the development, and the 6478sq m vacant block was built up to prevent flooding in 2008.
Valley View Developments bought the land for $825,000 in April 2022, CoreLogic RP Data records show.
It is the latest of several proposed industrial and commercial developments proposed for the Glanmire and Monkland areas.
Gympie Motor Group, which owns Action Ford north of the CBD, has lodged plans to move south and open a new showroom at Kelly Drive.
Rapidly expanding hardware chain Sydney Tools is intended to be one tenant of a proposed two-tenancy warehouse squeezed between the Bruce Hwy and Kelly Drive, and work on a long-awaited new fire station at Monkland is expected to start within the next 18 months.
