Driver killed in horror Bruce Hwy crash at Bauple
Police have revealed one rogue tyre from a caravan was likely the trigger for a Bruce Hwy crash which caused a collision between a truck and ute, killing one driver.

A tyre that dislodged from a caravan that was being towed on the Bruce Highway is believed to have led to a fatal crash at Bauple on Thursday.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following the fatal three-vehicle traffic crash south of Maryborough.
Initial investigations indicate about 12.20pm, a utility towing a caravan was travelling north along the Bruce Highway when a tyre dislodged and struck a truck, travelling in the opposite direction.
The truck then hit a third vehicle, another utility, which was travelling north behind the caravan.
The driver of the third vehicle, a 59-year-old Gympie man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The truck driver, a 58-year-old Sunshine Coast man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The other driver, a 44-year-old Cairns woman, was not physically injured, and is assisting police with investigations.
The Bruce Highway remains closed in both directions at Bauple.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
Witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam vision, are urged to contact police.
