Gympie emergency services had a busy Monday morning after a car was discovered in Amamoor Creek, and a truck hit a pole and brought down power lines near Gympie High School.

Police are investigating the discovery of a car in Amamoor Creek, and cleaning up after a truck hit a power pole in Gympie, bringing down power lines on Monday morning.
A white Toyota Camry without number plates was found abandoned in Amamoor Creek about 7.30am, after police received a call that a car had collided with a tree near Amamoor Creek beside Begeda Bridge, a Queensland Fire and Emergency spokesperson said.
No people were found near the scene, the spokesperson said.
In Gympie about 8am, emergency services were called to the scene of a single vehicle accident involving a truck hitting a power pole on Cootharaba Rd, opposite Batchler Rd near Gympie State High School.
The driver was was able to get himself out of the vehicle and did not require assessment, a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said.
Energex workers and police were on the scene which involved fallen power lines.
