A hazard reduction burn on Sunday August 15 is expected to create smoke for parts of Gympie.
The Veteran Rural Fire Brigade put out a warning on social media saying the burn will be conducted in the Victory Trails area, on the corner of Bath Tce and Sandy Creek Rd.

“Smoke can decrease visibility and air quality so close windows and doors and keep any respiratory medications close by,” they said.
“Avoid driving through smoke where possible and be aware of firefighters working in the area.”
