Roberts Bros Holdings plans 49-lot McIntosh Creek subdivision

One of the Gympie region’s largest land developers has unveiled plans for a growing subdivision 8km south of the city.

Roberts Bros Holdings has lodged an application to open up another 48 housing lots at McIntosh Creek, proposing to add another two stages to the growing subdivision on McIntosh Creek Rd.

The new subdivision, if approved by Gympie Regional Council, will be opened up on 109ha of land off McIntosh Creek Rd.

This land was itself sliced off a larger 115ha block owned by Roberts Bros as part of a 24-lot subdivision approved by the council in March 2021.

Block sizes for 48 of the 49 proposed new blocks will range from 4000sq m to 10,860sq m.

The expanding subdivision being opened up by Roberts Bros is about 8km south of the city, at McIntosh Creek.

The last lot will contain the balance of the land, 64ha, and will be set aside with an eye to subdividing it further in the future.

If approved by Gympie Regional Council, these lots will comprise stages five and six of the larger subdivision on the land.

The first two stages have been built, and stages three and four made up of the lots given the green light by the council in March,

New roads will be built to open up access to the blocks.

The new application is the latest piece in an expanding property portfolio for Roberts Bros, which includes the Noosa Outlook, the Noosa Retreat and Noosa River Park, Sunrise Hills at Tinbeerwah, Madill’s Toyota Showroom at Gympie, Chatsworth Premier Estate, Grange Estate and Greendale Downs.
