A luxury $100 million lifestyle village will soon begin construction in Gympie after changing hands, and plans.
The newly-greenlit plan by developer Liven Communities will target an over 50s community on the Southside, offering luxury accommodation and a host of recreational and wellness amenities, a media release revealed on July 1.
Developed on 7ha, Liven Willow Rise will feature 150 architecturally-designed homes, a swimming pool, tennis and pickleball court, golf simulator, lawn bowls, workshop and a dog park.
The property at 110 Heritage Lane - off Groundwater Road and adjacent to the Willow Grove Estate - will also feature an on-site clubhouse with a bar and lounge, cinema, games room, library, gym, dance floor, arts and craft space, community kitchen, private dining, alfresco dining and barbeque areas.
A similar previous application by developer Willow Groves Qld was revealed in July 2023 for the same block, with plans to construct 190 rooms, but never came to fruition.
The new project with a smaller residential capacity will be overseen by Liven Communities Head of Developments Steven Wright.
“This will be the largest active land lease community in Gympie, offering a relaxed and convenient lifestyle set amid rolling hills and lush green spaces, yet only minutes to the centre of Gympie and a short drive from the Sunshine Coast,” Mr Wright said in the press release.
Construction is slated to begin soon, with the first new residents expected to move in, in 2026.
The developer said more than 150 people had already expressed interest in the community village, and registration was open.
