Man charged over alleged Glenwood hit and run

A 35-year-old man has appeared in Maryborough Court facing multiple charges over the alleged hit and run which left two men with such serious injuries they had to be airlifted.

Police have charged a 35-year-old Glenwood man with multiple offences following a hit and run at Glenwood on Wednesday afternoon.

Muhammad Waleed Bin Abdullah appeared in Maryborough Magistrates Court on Friday facing five charges.

These included two counts of intending to cause grievous bodily harm, two counts of failing to remain at the scene, and using his mobile phone.

The alleged hit and run happened just before 1pm on Arbortwentyseven Rd at Glenwood, near the edge of the Tuan Forest, when a white Ford Ranger and a motorcycle collided.

Two men were thrown from the motorcycle and suffered serious injuries.

They were flown to The Royal Brisbane and Princess Alexandra hospitals for treatment.

Police issued a call on Thursday for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward, along with images of the Ford.

The 35-year-old was remanded in custody at the Maryborough court.
