A man will spend the night in lock up after contacting an ex-partner on multiple occasions over the course of a week.
The Gympie man, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, had been released from prison on parole in February after he was sentenced for arson.
He pleaded guilty in Caloundra Magistrates Court on Wednesday to contravening a domestic violence order.
The court heard during a one-week period in March he emailed his ex-partner on several occasions, which he was prohibited from doing under the order.
His solicitor said his client was unaware the no-contact conditions were still in place but stopped contacting the woman on his own volition.
Magistrate Rod Madsen revoked the man's bail to allow him more time to decide on appropriate sentencing.
Mr Madsen said he couldn't ignore the man's criminal history and noted the offending occurred "less than a month" after he was released on parole in February.
The man will appear before Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Thursday for sentencing.
