A man in his 30s has been flown to hospital with “significant” injuries to his arms and legs after a crash near Gympie.

A man in his 30s had to be airlifted to hospital following a crash between a car and motorcycle at Woolooga on Monday.

According to the Queensland Ambulance Service, the incident happened on Bauple Wooloonga Rd at 1.25pm.

The Lifeflight chopper was called to the scene and the pilot was able to land the aircraft in a clearing beside the road where other emergency services were already parked.

A QAS spokeswoman said the man had been taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The man suffered significant injuries to his arms and legs.
