Man, woman taken to hospital after heater catches fire at Tin Can Bay boat ramp

A man has suffered a significant leg burn and a woman’s hands were hurt in a fire overnight at Tin Can Bay.

A man has suffered a significant leg burn after a heater on a boat caught fire on Friday night at Tin Can Bay.

Emergency crews were called to the boat ramp on Tin Can Bay Rd about 8.30pm.

A man received a significant burn to one of his legs and a woman suffered minor burns to her hands.

The duo, both in their 60ss, were taken to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition.
