Kin Kin kangaroo fight ends in hospital trip

A woman aged in her 50s was taken to hospital after a photo shoot with a kangaroo at Kin Kin ‘suddenly turned sour’. Here is what we know:

A woman in her 50s was taken to hospital after a fight with a kangaroo on a dirt road south of Gympie.

Paramedics were called to Sheppersons Lane at Kin Kin at 5.16am on Thursday after reports of a physical altercation between the woman and the animal.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said the woman was reportedly taking photos of the majestic animal when “things suddenly turned sour”.

She suffered minor injuries to her arms, legs and back and was taken to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition.
