Gunalda car accident leaves car smoking, emergency services called

Emergency services have been called to the scene of a crash north of Gympie near Gunalda. Here is what we know:

Emergency services were called to the scene of a minor accident on the Bruce Highway near Gunalda on Tuesday afternoon.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said they were called to the scene at the intersection of the Bruce Hwy and Balkin St, Gunalda, about 3pm to reports of a single vehicle accident.

A man in his 40s was in the car at the time but is reportedly uninjured.

A Queensland Police spokesperson said the car was smoking, but it was possible it was steam instead. The car was later reported to not be on fire.

Two fire fighting units were also been called to the scene.

However the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle did not require transport to hospital.
