Gympie’s main street came alive with fun, laughter and joy, as residents, visitors, and shoppers descended on the street to revel in carols, food trucks, street entertainers and the magic of Christmas.
After three tumultuous years of bouncing back from floods and pandemics, a disaster prone Mary St filled with Christmas merriment as patrons took to the streets and business owners decorated their patch of pavement outside their shopfronts.
The annual tradition of bring the city together was not in vain, with celebrations of the past, looking forward to the new year, and taking in and enjoying a night out in the warm summer.
Aerial acrobats, jugglers, face painters, and a kids train moved up and down the street filling the air with festive cheer with only four sleeps to Christmas.
