A Central Queensland man accused of domestic violence rapes has had his matters mentioned in court.

The man is charged with two counts of rape (domestic violence offences) and one count of choking/suffocation/strangulation.

In Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday, where the man was not required to appear, his solicitor Cassandra Ditchfield said a further disclosure request had been sent to the prosecution on September 17.

“So that’s in addition to the one that was referred to at a previous (court) mention,” Ms Ditchfield said.

“I’ve had all of the material I originally requested - further material has been requested following my review of that additional disclosure material.”

Police prosecutor Sergeant Merrilyn Hoskins agreed an adjournment to October 9 would be suitable and Magistrate Mary Buchanan adjourned these matters to that date.

The man’s bail was enlarged.
