Going to help a mate who had crashed his car ended up proving costly for Ford Scott David Parsonage.

The 18-year-old got on a motorbike and went to the crash scene on November 27 last year, but police nabbed him on Gladstone Benaraby Road for three offences.

Parsonage didn’t have a driver’s licence because it was demerit point suspended and the motorbike was unregistered and uninsured.

Parsonage pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on January 30 to unlicensed driving, and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

A self-represented Parsonage didn’t wish to say anything about his offending.

Magistrate Mary Buchanan noted that Parsonage, who was employed, had co-operated with police and made admissions before fining him $1071 and disqualifying him from driving for six months.
