An 18-year-old West Gladstone man will appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court on December 19 after he was charged with one count of driving while disqualified and one count of wilfully making unnecessary noise or smoke.

Police allege that on Monday, September 17, the teen conducted a number of extended burnouts in a blue Ford Falcon along Hopper Rd, Barney Point.

Police will further allege he did so while he was disqualified from driving.

It is understood he was in custody for unrelated matters when police seized his phone, and following further investigations they charged the man.
