Four people have been charged after what police labelled as a ‘large street brawl’ in New Auckland on Tuesday night.
Upon arrival at the Shaw Street incident, police separated a large physical altercation in which blunt weapons were allegedly used against four people.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said the people involved in the altercation were known to each other.
Three men, two in their 20s and one in his 30s sustained serious injuries to their heads and upper bodies.
They were taken to Gladstone Hospital for treatment.
Two women were also transported to Gladstone Hospital with minor injuries.
Two men, aged 23 from New Auckland and 21 from West Gladstone, were arrested at the scene.
Two women, aged 25 from New Auckland and 19 from West Gladstone, were arrested this morning.
They were all charged conjointly with two counts of grievous bodily harm, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, unlawful possession of a weapon and three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm while armed.
They have been refused police bail and will attend the Gladstone Magistrates Court tomorrow.
