A man who threatened to kill another man at Calliope Caravan Park has faced court in Gladstone.

Daniel Jamie Ogden, 37, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on March 27 to public nuisance.

Police prosecutor Kelvin Boyd said about 10pm on February 12, police were called to a disturbance at the caravan park on Stowe Road.

Mr Boyd said police heard Ogden say: “I’m going to (man’s name) to rip him a new a---hole, he is a c--- of a f---ing man”.

Police officers told Ogden that he would be arrested if he went to the man’s caravan.

Mr Boyd said Ogden then replied: “Well arrest me then, I’m going to (man’s name) to kill the c---.”

Mr Boyd said Ogden started walking towards the man’s caravan and he was arrested and taken to Gladstone Watchhouse due his level of intoxication.

Solicitor Rio Ramos said Ogden had been before court several times for public nuisance offending.

Ms Ramos said Ogden was receiving Newstart Allowance and he had been living at Calliope for 18 months.

She said Ogden could not remember “most of what had happened” on the day of his offending due to his alcohol consumption.

Acting Magistrate Mary Buchanan fined Ogden $750 and a conviction was recorded.
