A police search of a Gladstone woman’s address uncovered a stash of drug paraphernalia which she claimed she and her boyfriend used, a court heard.
Ashley Jean Hansen, 20, pleaded guilty to four drug related charges in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on Friday.
On April 20, around 8.30am, Gladstone police executed a search warrant on a Squire Street address in Toolooa in relation to dangerous drugs.
During the search, police located two syringes that contained clear fluid, one in Hansen’s bedroom draws and the other under the bathroom sink
Hansen stated one syringe was her boyfriend’s and the other her friend’s who she could not name; both fluids were confirmed to be methamphetamine.
Both needles that contained the dangerous drug, as well as a small amount of blood, were located in easily accessible areas and were not in puncture proof containers.
Police also located a glass pipe and one makeshift pipe made out of a light bulb in the top draw of Hansen’s bedroom.
She stated the pipes were last used by her and her boyfriend to smoke methamphetamine.
As the search continued police located a small container filled with empty clip seal bags and two electric scales under the bathroom sink.
Hansen stated the clip seal bags previously contained methamphetamine that she and her boyfriend had administered.
Hansen stated she and her boyfriend owned one of the scales each and they were used for her boyfriend to weigh his methamphetamine before he administered it.
At the end of the search, police issued Hansen a Notice To Appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court.
Magistrate Bevan Manthey convicted and fined Hansen $500. A conviction was recorded.
