Police: 9 people charged with property and vehicle offences across Gladstone, Boyne Island, and Tannum Sands
Gladstone residents who were victims of property and vehicle thefts have had some of their belongings returned to them following a major operation by local detectives. Here’s what we know.

Following a number of burglaries and vehicle thefts across the region, Gladstone detectives opened an investigation which led to nine people being charged with a total of 47 offences.
Operation ‘Uniform Yeoman’ began in September following a spate of burglaries and vehicle thefts in Gladstone’s South, including at Boyne Island and Tannum Sands.
In October, police arrested and charged a man — who The Observer revealed was 30-year-old Boyne Island man, Harley Strange — with 21 property, vehicle and drug offences.
Coordinated investigations between officers from the Criminal Investigation Branch, Property Crime, and uniformed officers executing a number of search warrants across the region led to further arrests.
A further eight people have now been charged with a total of 26 offences.
Detectives have now closed the Operation, however, further offences are still being investigated.
A range of property items located during the search warrants has been successfully returned to their owners.
