30-year-old Boyne Island father and his 21-year-old Gracemere girlfriend, face Gladstone Magistrates Court in relation to vehicle thefts and burglaries

A Central Queensland couple has faced court in relation to a number of alleged break-ins and vehicle thefts stretching from Boyne Island up to Gracemere in recent weeks.
Detectives investigating a recent string of alleged burglaries and vehicle thefts since late September have arrested a Boyne Island man and charged him with 21 property, vehicle, and drug offences.
It will be alleged the man arrested, who The Observer can reveal is Harley Christopher Strange, 30 was involved in a number of offences between September 23 and October 7 at several locations including Boyne Island, Gladstone, and Gracemere.
The man was intercepted by police on October 7 whilst at a Hanson Rd, Gladstone Central business before he was immediately taken into custody.
The Observer can also exclusively reveal the 21-year-old Gracemere woman, Shiann Rhiannon Jonsen — the partner of Harley Strange — was also present at the Hanson Rd business and subsequently arrested on lesser charges.
She was charged with two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, one count of evasion offence, one count of driving while disqualified (by court order), one count of wilful damage and one count of possess utensils.
All charges, except for one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, are alleged to have happened on October 7.
Defence lawyers acting for Jonsen did not make an application for bail.
Strange was charged with two counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, three counts of stealing, three counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, one count of wilful damage, one count of unlawful possession of a weapon, one count of receiving tainted property, one count of attempted enter dwelling with intent, one count of stealing after previous conviction and three counts of driving while disqualified.
In relation to alleged drug matters, he was further charged with one count of possess property suspected of being acquired to commit a drug offence, one count of possess utensils, one count of possess dangerous drugs.
The pair appeared in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday.
Strange’s matter will return to the Gladstone Courthouse on Wednesday for a bail application.
Investigations are ongoing.
