A Gladstone man was allegedly caught with cocaine and meth in his underwear after the drugs fell from a cigarette packet he had stashed away while allegedly trying to evade police.
A 24-year-old man was arrested following an alleged altercation at a Gladstone pub on Saturday night, where the man allegedly attempted to walk away from police and dispose of the drugs.
Police allege about 10.30pm on March 26 they approached the man inside a licensed venue on Goondoon St and requested he talk with them outside.
The man allegedly refused to leave, attempting to walk away while pulling out a cigarette packet from his underwear before throwing it onto the ground.
It will be further alleged that inside the cigarette packet were two clip seal bags of cocaine and methylamphetamine.
The New Auckland man was charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count of obstruct police.
He was granted bail and is due to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on April 26.
