Gladstone hotel evacuated during fire emergency
Multiple fire crews have been called to a Central Queensland hotel which has been evacuated due to a fire emergency.
Multiple fire crews have rushed to a fire emergency at a Central Queensland hotel on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to a hotel on Gladstone’s Goondoon Street about 1.45pm.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said the fire started in a drier in a laundry area.
“We have three crews there,” the QFD spokesman said.
He said an evacuation took place and everyone was accounted for.
The QFD spokesman said the fire was extinguished about 2.35pm and fire crews remained on scene doing atmospheric testing.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said there were no patients at the scene with either injuries or smoke inhalation.
