Tree branch allegedly used in wounding incident in Burrum River
Police are investigating over an alleged attack on the Fraser Coast this morning in which a man was injured by an unusual weapon.

A man aged in his 60s has been taken to hospital with a leg wound after an alleged incident involving a tree branch.
A spokeswoman from the Queensland Ambulance Service said the incident had been reported at a private residence at 5.57am on Wednesday.
It is understood the incident took place in the car park of the Burrum District Outrigger Canoe Club.
A man with leg and arm injuries had been assessed at the scene, she said.
A speargun was initially reported to have been used in the incident, but a police spokesman later confirmed a tree branch had allegedly been used.
The man was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
Police had taken a suspect into custody, the spokesman said.
