Man hospitalised by car crashing into Urangan home

A man became trapped in his home overnight after a car was driven into the property by a woman suffering a medical episode.

A man became trapped in his home overnight after a car was driven into a Urangan property by a woman suffering a medical episode.

Emergency services were called to the home on Boundary Rd, Urangan at 8.24pm on Tuesday, May 21.

A QPS spokesperson said the driver in her 60s suffered a medical episode before driving into the home.

A younger man living in the house became trapped momentarily when the car hit, before both he and the driver were taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.

A Wide Bay Hospital Service spokesperson said the woman had been discharged, while the man remained in hospital in a stable condition.
