A Tik Tik influencer has shared a viral video of his encounter with a deadly snake on Fraser Island.

A British Tik Tok influencer has shared a video with his 1.9 million followers after he was bitten by a snake on Fraser Island.

The video shared to Gee Bee TV by influencer “Ben”, starts with the words “right, so I just got bitten by a venomous snake in Australia”.

News of the incident, which happened on Saturday about 7am, broke over the weekend.

But the video gave a first-hand account of Ben’s experience.

The adventure had started with the decision to hire a “very questionable” pink four-wheel drive and “take it down to the jungle at Fraser Island,” he said.

The RACQ LifeFlight chopper was called to Fraser Island after man was bitten by a snake on Saturday January 21, 2023.

“The tracks were washed away and the sand was pretty thick, but we managed to get down to the beach on the east side, which was amazing.

“But then we make a pretty big mistake.”

The tide was coming in quickly, but as others decided to leave the area, Ben and his partner decided to set up camp, admiring nearby dingoes and crabs.

“We were up super early for this amazing sunrise and then that’s when it happened,” he said.

“I crashed my drone into this tree and then I had to climb up the dunes to get it.

“I walked back down to this patch of grass and I stood on something dark and I felt something hit my ankle.

“I got back to the truck, saw the fang marks and then it sort of sunk in what happened.

“We had no signal but these legends bandaged me up and rushed me down the beach.

“As soon as we reached signal we sent the helicopter in.

“They checked out the bite and then took off immediately.

“Not too bad though, I got a free helicopter sightseeing tour of Fraser Island.

“Currently waiting for blood work and yeah, welcome to f**kin Australia.”

Helicopter staff and QAS paramedics treated the man at the scene before loading him onto the nearby helicopter and flying him to Hervey Bay Hospital for further treatment.

The spokeswoman said he did not show any signs of being affected by venom and the species of snake was unknown.
