Police investigating sudden death at Carrier Arms Motel, Maryborough

Police are investigating an early morning incident in which a young man has died despite the best efforts of paramedics.

Police have established a crime scene and are investigating following the sudden death of a man in his 20s at the Carriers Arms Motel in Maryborough, on the morning of Saturday June 3, 2023.

Police are investigating the sudden death of a young man inside a unit at the Carriers Arms Motel, with a crime scene established at the popular Alice St stopover.

Emergency crews, including paramedics, were called to the motel about 9.36am Saturday morning.

A QAS spokeswoman said first responders treated a man in his 20s at the scene, who was in a critical condition.

Police have since confirmed the man has died and investigations are underway.

There is not yet any indication the death was suspicious.
