A man has been charged after an alleged disturbance at Maryborough Courthouse.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Balam Selvadurai placed Kim Warren Clark under arrest outside the courthouse after the sounds of a disturbance was heard from within the magistrates court.
Other officers quickly arrived to place Mr Clark into a vehicle.
Mr Clark was due to appear before the court on charges of public nuisance, making threats, common assault and obstructing police.
The matter was briefly mentioned before the magistrates’ court on Tuesday, with duty lawyer Warren Hunter saying Mr Clark was “otherwise detained”.
A police spokeswoman said a 41-year-old Maryborough man had been charged following an alleged disturbance in Maryborough on Tuesday morning.
“It will be alleged, about 10.30am, a man was behaving disorderly at an address on Richmond Street,” she said.
“He has been charged with one count each of commit public nuisance and obstruct police officer.
“He is expected to appear in Maryborough Magistrates Court on Wednesday, April 23.”
