Man taken to hospital after bat assault in Point Vernon
A man has been rushed to hospital with head injuries after being assaulted with a bat.

A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital with head injuries after he was reportedly attacked with a bat at Point Vernon.
The incident happened at a home on Corser St just after midnight, according to a spokeswoman from Queensland Police Service.
She said the man was conscious when he was assisted by paramedics at the scene before being take to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
A complaint has not been made to police regarding the incident.
