Three people remain on the run after an alleged violent 30 minutes of crime across Melbourne’s west.

A police car was allegedly rammed in Altona North on Friday afternoon after officers noticed a Holden Commodore without a rear number plate in a Millers Rd carpark about 1.30pm.

The vehicle suddenly reversed at speed into the police divisional van, narrowly missing an approaching police officer.

It is believed to have had two men and a woman inside.

The grey Holden Commodore, which had a distinctive white boot and rear bumper, fled the scene.

It’s then understood the vehicle was involved in a two-car collision on Sneydes Rd, Point Cook at the Princes Fwy overpass around 2pm.

At that scene it’s alleged one of the people inside the Holden assaulted another driver with a hockey stick.

The vehicle was later found abandoned on Enfield Ave in Werribee later that afternoon.

Police have released CCTV of the vehicle in the hope that someone will recognise it and be able to provide information about its occupants.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
